Yes we do…
Lab-created diamonds, also known as synthetic or cultured diamonds, offer several benefits when compared to natural mined diamonds. One benefit is that they are typically less expensive. This is because lab-created diamonds are created in a controlled environment, which allows for a more efficient and cost-effective production process.
Some people may prefer natural diamonds because they believe they are more rare and valuable, while others may prefer lab-grown diamonds because they are more affordable.
In general, it seems that lab-grown diamonds are becoming more popular and widely accepted, as advances in technology have made it possible to produce diamonds that are chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds. However, natural diamonds are still the more popular choice for many people and are often considered a symbol of love and commitment- due to it’s rarity.
Ultimately, the decision between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond should be based on the individual’s personal preferences and values.
There are so many variables that influence the price of a ring.
In short, the main factors are:
- The 4C’s- extremely important that you decide what is important to you and discuss with the consultant
- The quality, authenticity and ‘trust’ factor of the Certification (very important)
- Fluorescence
- The metal you choose
- Your finger size – the bigger the finger or wider the band the more metal required to make a ring
The truth is a diamond ring can be manufactured for a variety of budgets. Depending on the colour, the clarity, cut and the size (carat) of your diamond – see 4C’s here.
In addition to the 4C’s, a very important and often overlooked factor is Certification. At Grace Diamonds we predominantly opt for either GIA or EGL certified diamonds.
Other often ‘hidden’ factors to take into consideration would be the Fluorescence of a stone. If you are not sure about this ask us to tell you more! This could be the difference in price you’re looking in terms of your budget,
The ring can also be made from platinum or gold (various karats ranging from 9kt to 18kt) which also affect the price.
All you have to do is decide on the amount you’re happy to spend on your dream ring and we will find you the biggest most sparkly diamond for your money.
The 4Cs of diamonds are a set of criteria used to grade diamonds, and consist of Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat weight. Cut refers to the shape and proportions of the diamond, which can affect the diamond’s brightness and sparkle. Colour grades the degree of colourlessness in a diamond and is graded on a scale from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). Clarity grades the number and size of inclusions present in the diamond, and is graded on a scale from Flawless to Included. Finally, Carat weight is the physical measure of a diamond, and is the standard unit of measurement for diamonds.
The Inside Diameter (GREEN arrow) of a current, well fitting ring can be measured with a ruler and is a means of measuring ring size. Make sure to use the centre area of the ring as indicated above
